I just caught this on msnbc, link. Apparently he is going through a skin rejuvination process and this is a condition of it. While I am assuming this is a temporary side effect, my first thoughts immediatly were of Michael Jackson.

Looks like it is Braun and Gomez long term for the Brewers in left and center but what about right field? Cain had a rough year but he still has talent. If he is the right fielder of the future does it mean the Gamel is in the infield if he isn't traded? If Gamel is the rightfielder what happens to Cain?

How much do we have to spend this off-season?

The Hardy trade got me wondering how much we had to spend this off-season. Not having to pay JJ Hardy arbitration and not bringing Cameron back will save them a good amount of money. I dont have any idea what we have to spend and where we currently are at, but I know there are guys on this site that do. I am wondering what we are likely to spend in arbitration and what that leaves us for pitching and bench players.

Jermaine Dye is now a free agent this probably kills a Hart/McGehee trade to the Braves for Vazquez/Lowe though. I would expect the Braves to sign Dye if they can trade Vazquez or Lowe to another team.

Abreau signs 2 years $18 million deal with a $9 million option for 2012 with a $1 million buyout. Incentives in 2011 could guarantee the final year of the deal. He had a great 2009 season, and i wonder if this helps give us some perspective on what it will take to retain Cameron?

Seems like a great deal for the Sox. Hermida is young (25), talented, and should make around $3 million in his second year of arby. The pitchers the Sox gave up seem unimpressive.

Mark Teahen to White Sox for Fields/Getz

MLB Trade Rumors is reporting that the White Sox have acquired Teahen for Fields and Getz. To me it seems like a pretty good deal for the Royals as they have 10 years of combined control between Fields and Getz. Both of them are younger players with at least decent upside. I wonder if they will move Fields to right field as you wouldn't think the Royals are ready to give up on Gordon at Third base

From a fan standpoint this stinks because Iwamura was a favorite of mine (even have a shirt jersey) on the Rays (my default AL team having grown up in Sarasota) and I hate seeing him on a team I can't stand.

As to whether it makes the Pirates any better, I'll leave to others to break down.

Nothing particularly surprising with the pitcher - Bush with a 4.29 ERA. That sounds pretty close to me, but I know some people were really down on him....

My friend Chuck, totally believes that Scott Kazmir was paid off to throw the game. That ball was 10 feet over Kendricks head, what was he thinking!

How can ANYONE do that realistically. It's a throw from the mound to first base, more routine than jogging to first after a walk. That play was worse than Bill Buckner's bone headed fielding error in shear idiocy.

What was the angels final total? 8 or 9 errors in the span of 6 games? Come on, against the yanks you...
