			<description><![CDATA[ I apologize for the relatively vague thread title.  I think my question is fairly simple, but I don&#39;t trust my own mathematical &#39;abilities&#39;.

Is the best way to think of the value of player production an exponential curve, or is it more linear?  I ask, because obviously an OPS of, say, .750, is far
more common than an OPS of 1.000.  I hope this makes enough sense for others to understand what I&#39;m asking.  I swear it&#39;s a valid question inside my
head.

find that? If it has already been looked maybe point me to that.  What I was interested in seeing is if players whose bapip changed from one year to the next 
was just luck or if the player was hitting balls right at people because he was hitting the balls in a certain way to make him become an easy out.  Or the

surprised. No one is talking about this. Our pitching seems to get all of the press, but we&#39;re not at the bottom with pitching in many categories... close
