Re: Joe Mauer AL MVP (reply) Mauer was just unbelievable. He elevated his game when it was already one of the best in the league. The only drawback was missing the first month with an injury. Without that, he would have been even more amazing. Voters totally got this one right. |

If I find an example where a bad signing crippled a franchise for years, does that "prove" otherwise? Anecdotal evidence can prove anything you want it to. Looking at the teams that make the playoffs, there are lots of different ways to be successful. The 2008 Brewers had poor defense, while defense was a key staple of recent Rockies/Twins ... |
