Any Chris Capuano News? (topic) What about Capuano? Has anyone heard of his progress...last I heard from a MLB.com article on June 30th was that he should be ready April 1st and would likely start in AAA ball. "Capuano has one more year of arbitration eligibility remaining, meaning ... |

Capuano eligible for arbitration? (topic) By my count he has one more arby season. Right? So, do the Brewers offer him arby or do they release him? |

Capuano DL'd : Torn ligament in left elbow (reply #88); no surgery FOR NOW-try 3-4 weeks of rehab (reply #161); Tommy John surgery Thurs., May 16th (reply #192) (topic) Apparently, Capuano left the game early today with soreness in the elbow. With Gallardo starting the year on the disabled list and potentially Capuano having an injury, the Brewers might be happy to have this depth in the rotation to start the year. ... |

Are we certain that Capuano and Bush would have to clear waivers? (split from Build your Brewers Pitching Staff) (topic) Are we certain that Capuano and Bush would have to clear waivers? Yost is talking like two guys are going out, no matter what, and he doesn't know yet which two it'll be. He doesn't give any mention to the possibility of waivers. "I'm going to have two ... |

Bush vs. Capuano for 2008 (topic) I think we can assume that either Dave Bush or Chris Capuano will be making about 30 starts for the Brewers this year. The question is, if you could only choose one of them, which one would you rather have? You can factor in trade value, money, or ... |

How are we going to figure this rotation out? (topic) I'm glad I'm not the one who has to sort this out. Vargas has been good. So have Villy and Parra. Bush and Capuano have not been -- not likely what Yost and Co. were hoping to see. Vargas has generally been thought of as the odd man out in all ... |

Parra needs to be in the rotation on opening day... Latest: Manny Parra, Cy Young of Spring Training (see reply #99) (topic) Yes, we have depth in our starting pitching. But, I don't consider having three 5's in the starting 5 (Bush, Sup, Cappy) good enough to make a playoff push. There is a bigger upside to Villanueva, and of coarse, Parra. They both have good enough stuff ... |

If we assume Capuano makes the starting rotation, how long is his leash? (topic) Question for the many Capuano backers out there. Suppose in April he extends his losing streak to 15 and/or 25 straight losing appearences and Gallardo is ready to come off the DL. Will you finally be ready to pull the plug on this guy and at least ... |

So, what's our 2008 rotation? (topic) Here's my take: 1) Sheets 2) Gallardo 3) Suppan 4) Villanueva 5) Capuano Possibly swap Sheets and Gallardo by season's end, Capuano could move up....but the rotation order doesn't really mean much, anyway. |

Are we going to suck the first few weeks? (topic) Here are unknowns that will sort themselves out by May but may lead to a slow start: 1. Out of the various options in the bullpen, who will be the most effective in the 7th and 8th innings? 2. Out of the various options, who will be the most ... |

Where exactly is the market for Bush/Vargas/Capuano? (topic) I'm sorry if this should be in the rumors, feel free to move if needed. What happens to Vargas/trade has to happen? Predict the Rotation as of opening day 2008 (topic) Sounds like Parra is going to get a shot in the rotation, which I guess isn't all that surprising given that he's a lefty. At this point, I think it's between Parra and Cappy for the last spot if Cappy isn't moved, between Parra and Bush for the last ... |

What happened to Chris Capuano in 2007? (Merged: not as bad as it might seem) (topic) Probably one of the biggest contributors to our failure to make the playoffs this season was the mysterious decline of our normally trustworthy southpaw in the rotation.
