Who do you think is our main catcher next year? (topic) Not who you want to be our catcher, but who do you think actually will be our main catcher? Do you think we ultimately resign Kendall and give him the majority of the starts next year or do you think we go with either Rivera or Salome? |

Time to give Rivera more playing time (topic) First off, I know it's still extremely early in the season, but if Jason Kendall continues to struggle, at what point should Rivera begin playing more than 1 in every 5 days? Kendall is not getting any younger, maybe the absurd amount of games he caught ... |

Kendall to rest more often this season (topic) http://www.jsonline.com/blogs/sports/brewers.html Macha said he could get Rivera more action and Kendall more rest by pairing the backup catcher with one particular pitcher in the starting rotation throughout the season. "That would keep Jason ... |

Kendall and Rivera (topic) Kendall's BA is basically .250 right now. Obviously, in a very small sample, Rivera is doing really well with the schtick. Is it time to maybe double Rivera's work load as we approach mid season, both to keep Kendall fresh and because basically every ... |

Catcher production in March/April (topic) Has anyone noticed that over the past few seasons our catchers have really performed well offensively in the first month of the season? It especially seems like they've been hitting a ton of doubles. Check out these numbers (BA/OBP/SLG/OPS): Chad ... |

Munson, Rivera or Rottino?; Latest: Munson clears waivers, outrighted to AAA (topic) With his performance so far in spring training i would have to think that Munson has to be the clubhouse leader to be the back up. His left handed bat with power has to be intriguing, granted Yost would never use him off the bench. I haven't seen how ... |

Backup Catcher for 2008? (topic) Well Kendall will get the majority of the starts but who do you think will win the backup job? Mike Rivera, Eric Munson or Vinny Rottino? I think all three have a chance. Rivera has shown to be a solid backup the past few seasons when he has had the ... |

Estrada Article in MJS--Played hurt most of year (topic) Nice article today in the Milwaukee Journal about Johnny Estrada's season. He called himself "pathetic" and is anxious to play healthy next year. At least he manned up and said he sucked this year. He said he didn't make the elbow problem public because ... |

Catching situation for 2008 (Merged: "Maybe we'll have a better catcher next year!") (topic) With Johnny Estrada for a 'full' season now, it's safe to say I've been nothing but surprised with how disappointing he's been. I know that's just my opinion, but I know I'm not the only one. Lack of OBP we knew was part of the deal. What I didn't realize ... |

Honest question: Is Johnny Estrada part of the problem? (topic) We just witnessed another pitching meltdown today. I am starting to wonder if Johnny Estrada might be part of the problem. Is he handling the staff well enough? I am not saying he is or he isn't, but it's time to at least ask the question and start ... |
