How is this team 31-22 (topic) I was looking through the stats yesterday and couldn't believe this team is 9 games over .500 as we approach the end of the first 3rd of the season. I went through the lineup and there are only 2 positions that are exceeding expectations CF (Cameron) ... |

Brewer vs Twins Debate (topic) I was out at the bars in Eau Claire last night, and ran into several people coming up for the series this weekend. With the mix of Brewer and Twins fans in the bar, after a few beers, the back and forth started. I thought one of the debates that I heard ... |

#1 Priority: Re-signing Fielder (topic) Although many people anticipate that Prince will be traded after the end of his two year contract for pitching depth, I for one think the Brewers should attempt to lock Prince up for an additional four or five years. We have beautiful thing going on ... |

Anyone found a picture of Gamel with Prince and Ryan? (topic) You know, the one where they are all walking back together to the dugout after Mat's three run blast? I'd think it would be a keeper! |

Prince Fielder's Actual Height (topic) Does anybody know Prince Fielder's actual height? I've seen him several places listed as 6 feet tall. Both MLB.com and ESPN.com have him listed at 5'11. I have a gentlemens bet with a friend that Prince is shorter than 5'10. |

Move Rickie to a new position? (topic) Rob Neyer quotes Bill James that Rickie should change positions. Apparently he's a butcher at 2nd. Who knew? While I agree that it would be beneficial to move Rickie, I can't agree that we should move Prince, or that we should move Braun again. Where ... |

Doug Melvin's takes on Prince, Rickie, J.J., Corey (as reported by The Capital Times) (topic) Link to Capital Times story from Dennis Punzel. Presumably he had Doug's ear at the annual Dug-Out Club gathering last week in Madison. It's nice to see this much ink (or, since the Cap Times is now web-only, screen text) devoted to the Brewers, maybe ... |

How do you look at Prince? (topic) Ok so I was listening to the local sports talk radio station in Milwaukee today (sorry, I'm not sure which one, I'm not from here but was in town for work). They were talking about how Prince was viewed by the public. I was a little upset about some of ... |

Fielder agrees to a 2 year/$18 mil deal, buying out his first two years of arbitration (reply #48ish) (topic) According to Haudricourt the Brewers maybe working on a multi year deal with Fielder. According to the article Haudricourt speculates that it could be a 2 year $18-20 million deal. I'm not sure I really like the numbers of this deal especially if this ... |

Fielder arby hearing (topic) Not sure if this is the right place to post this, but here it goes anyway. When the Brewers go into the arbitration hearing with Fielder, can they put a clause that Prince gets a bump in pay if his weight is in a desirable range? Say the Brewers offer 6 ... |

Braun v. Prince. Who is more likely to replicate 2007? (topic) Braun- 451AB/91R/97RBI/34HR.......370OBP/.634SLG Prince-573AB/109R/119RBI/50HR....395OBP/.618SLG I still believe Prince could surpass 2007's banner season, with a 60-70HR outburst. Braun, on the other hand, may never eclipse 40HR. I just don't ... |

Fielder contract extension? (topic) I heard today on Madison's sports radio station that the Brewers offered Fielder a 5 year/$60 mil contract extension, but he declined the offer. I've been looking for a link to that story, but have come up empty. Has anyone else heard this story? |

How many millions has Fielder cost himself in the last month? (topic) It was not too long ago the speculation was the Fielder would break the bank in arbitration this offseason and get something similar to the $10 million Howard got. I have to believe Fielders' woeful performance of late has cost him at least $3 million ... |

Fielder straying from the bag (topic) Falling under the topic of Brewer problems not talked about, Fielder straying from the base needs to be corrected by coaches. On many of the bunts that are fielded by the pitcher, catcher, or 3B, Fielder needlessly keeps coming to the plate. This seems ... |

Prince in the clutch (topic) My feelings are purely anecdotal, so I welcome the stat-heads to find some numbers in response to my claim. And if I'm wrong, I'll gladly stuff it. I remember a game around midseason that Prince won with a walk-off single. Is that just about the only ... |

Fielder's power drop (topic) Was just looking through the box from tonight's game and I noticed something I hadn't before. Prince Fielder is FOURTH on the club in slugging (Braun, Cameron, Hart lead him). Hardy is just .006 behind the Prince. I know he's having an "off" season, ... |
