Jeffers is a live-armed righty that missed all of 2007 due to Tommy John surgery. He has a very live arm and the velocity has already returned as he was throwing in the 93-95 range with consistency all spring. Like most TJ recoveries, he struggled to command his pitches this spring, although that was not a strength before the injury. He also throws a potentially wicked slider and solid changeup. His future may lie in the bullpen, where he was used this spring for national junior college powerhouse Chipola to ease him back from his injury.
