Dedrick was pretty much unknown entering the spring, but is a very good athlete that led his high school team as a point guard to the basketball state championship. He has exciting power potential, and played third base as a high school senior but likely will move to the outfield at the professional level. He does have a basketball commitment to Lipscomb University to contend with.
