Farrar is a good overall athlete that shows some ability to swing the bat. As a pitcher, he has a solid repertoire and sound pitching mechanics with a clean and easy delivery. His fastball sits in the 85-88 range at this point in time, but many believe the velocity will increase as he matures. He also throws a sharp slow curveball and really shows an advanced understanding of pitching. He may be difficult to sign away from Texas Tech.
