The 37-year-old hasn't pitched in the majors since 2005, and has undergone two shoulder surgeries since then. He didn't allow a run in four innings
at Single-A Daytona, but gave up four runs in 2/3 of an inning at Double-A on Wednesday. Lou Pineilla apparently thinks he'd do a better job stabilizing
the Cubs' middle relief than Neil Cotts or Sean Gallagher.
