I wasn't trying to suggest that Brantley is a "replacement" like Cain is just offering a possible reason as to why his name isn't listed on
the roster at this point in time. If it is simply an error, than so be it, but I wouldn't doubt if it is due to a paperwork formality.

I don't think anyone needs to be replaced for Brantley to come to Arizona. On the rosters I have, there's a "TBA MIL" at the bottom, under
outfielders.
Brae Wright is a taxi squad guy for us, only activated on Wednesdays and Saturdays. 6 other teams (Cincinnati, Cleveland, San Diego, St.Louis, Philadelphia, and Houston) have 8 guys on the roster with one being a taxi guy, and the Dodgers have 9, with 2 taxi guys. I guess Brantley's our TBA - when can I officially announce it on my website? :-) |

Ken Spindler and the Brewers' media relations department have announced that the following players will be the Brewers' representatives in the Hawaiian
Fall League:
West Oahu CaneFires: OF Caleb Gindl OF Logan Schafer LHP Chris Cody LHP Mike Ramlow and Manager Mike Guerrero (from Brevard County). Also, an updated Arizona Fall League list looks like this: Peoria Javelinas: 3B Mat Gamel C Angel Salome C Lou Palmisano (taxi squad) RHP Omar Aguilar RHP Jeremy Jeffress RHP Alex Periard LHP David Welch and LHP Brae Wright (taxi squad). Trainer Tommy Craig (Brevard County) will also join the Peoria team. Of course, agent 39 has shipped Michael Brantley's equipment to Arizona, but that doesn't mean he'll be representing the Brewers. |

What's the deal with the taxi squad? I've always found that to be really strange...why not just have everyone active? Teams can still
"request" certain players get more time...I mean, I cannot believe it's an intense atmosphere.

Despite all the "fun" discussing Brantley's soon to be winter whereabouts, it appears that adding two OF's to Hawaii means the Indians will
take Brantley or Cain. The Brewers know that and added Logan Schafer with the much deserving Caleb Gindl to the OF.
Schafer has taken over the CF spot in WV with ease in his first year and is probably being sent to Hawaii to improve whatever hitting deficiecies the Brewers see. You have to Believe Gindl and Schafer are in their future plans. |

Mike has some personal matters to take care of (not serious) and has been officially pulled out of the AFL. Nothing to do with the trade I promise, and yes I
did infact ship his stuff to arizona so ill have fun getting it sent back.

Argh - since Lorenzo Cain was said to be on the replacement roster, does that mean he's filling the last hole now?
I guess I'm a tad impatient, I mean, we do have a whole month until things get under-way, but there's at least 20 roster spots open, and I'm just excited to see who fills 'em. We COULD still send an A ball guy there too, right? Maybe we can hit them up for a fan-vote to get the last guy elected :-) |

(not Mke Brantley) LHP Brae Wright (taxi squad) C Lou Palmisano (taxi squad) 6 and 7 still open. alright maybe I'm just impatient, but I check my email everday for Arizona Fall League roster updates, and they're never brewer- related. Can we assume that Lorenzo Cain, being on the replacement roster, is going? That'd be fine. What about Gallardo? If the Brewers don't use him in the next few games, or even if they do, I'd be thrilled to see him pitch here. I've only seen Gallardo pitch in person down here in spring training - maybe a total of 5 innings that I saw. Maybe waiting to see if we still have Green when the CC trade is finalized? I've never seen him in person either. That'd be sweet. any more speculation? |

The more playing time he gets - the better. He still has some developing to do, and missing time this past year with injury did not help. |
