Today will be ulcer-ific.
I will not be able to handle the pressure today. I'm failing. As a fan, I am choking. Hopefully the players will not follow suite. Beer will be in full flow today to help ease tensions. |

Well, I know there is another IGT for the Mets-Marlins game, but given the circumstances, I think it's relevant to post their lineups here. When I saw the
Marlins lineup, I just about cried......

Here is the Brewers lineup......it's up to the veterans who have been in this spot before(Durham, Counsell, & Kendall) to see the kids through this
one. THEY need to be the ones with the big hits today, the solid defense, and the leadership to get this thing done.
Just for the record well before the game even starts, IF the Brewers win today, it will be because of a HUGE Corey Hart hit. That's right, I said it....THAT Corey Hart will come up big today. Wish I could echo your sentiments, but I think Corey will go ofer today and fail with a runner on 3rd with less than 2 outs. BUT it won't matter because we
will win going away!

The Roof will be closed again today, as well as the wall panels. Gonna be a sauna in there again today.
Can anybody record the radio broadcast? Just in case Uecker goes nuts, I want to be able to hear it later. |

I'm killing time until the first pitch by playing Batman Lego with my five-year old. After two hours of watching her trying to master the controls without
my help, the Brewers game will seem like heaven. I'd rather see Counsell at bat, nobody on base, down by one run, two out, bottom of the ninth than watch
any more of a Lego Batman do nothing but turn in circles.

Updating from Miller Park. The Brewers held true to their Sunday routine and DID NOT take batting practice today. It also looks as if Chicago is going to
decline to take BP as well.

Re-Updating, The Cubs declined to take batting practice, then the crew decided to come out and use the Cubs slot, so they are breaking the norm and getting
some hacks in.

I feel sick to my stomach. I haven't felt this way since the Terps National Championship in 2002. As someone said earlier, I almost want to just go to bed
and look up the score later. I'm so nervous right now.
