Based on feedback from members and discussion among Brewerfan staff and moderators, we are altering our approach to moderating in the Fan Forum.
Most notably, we are moving away from the formal "three strikes" system. This is due in part to time constraints of staff and moderators, and the record-keeping and coordination associated with the strike system.
Coupled with the new system is a more relaxed view of the in-game thread rules that were posted at the start of the season.
Since the new system is not based on strikes, members with one or two strikes against them don't have them anymore. (Banned persons remain banned.) If you violate the Fan Forum Etiquette, you'll be contacted by a moderator or staff member, just as before, with a description of the violation and our response - which could range from a warning to a temporary ban to a permanent ban.
Although the new system will surely have its own strengths and weaknesses, we expect it to be less cumbersome and more responsive and flexible. There have been very few issues since we began using it. As always, feel free to PM site staff or moderators to raise issues that need attention.
